THAT DAY

"Rolling Stone magazine" publishes a parody of a wanted poster for Jim Morrison, April 5, 1969

Created for the April 5, 1969 edition of the "Rolling Stone Magazine", this parody of a Wild West-style wanted poster was originally intended to illustrate in a more or less comical way the incidents that occurred during the concert. DOORS controversy given the previous month at the "Dinner Key Auditorium" in Miami, Florida.

Even if this famous concert of March 1, 1969 ended in relative calm after the various actions of Jim Morrison, it was only a few days later, when he was taking a rest, that the DOORS singer was informed that a warrant of arrest had been issued against his person...

...The case will quickly take on unprecedented proportions and will be brought to the courts of Dade County, then opposing Morrison to the state of Florida for the charges here named: "Lascivious and lecherous behavior in public", "Indecent Exhibition", "Obviously Inebriated" and "Oral Copulation Simulation"

This pseudo search notice, originally imagined with lightness by the magazine, will be recovered by puritan America, which then wishes to make Jim Morrison an example of the perversion that the counter-culture of the time represents for the youth of the country.

This poster will circulate in abundance and will be plastered not far from the places where the DOORS occur, particularly affecting Morrison...
